Basilisk

The valley is under attack by the deadly Basilisk! Only one brave girl can save the day by gathering the broken pieces of the Dagger of Flames and slaying it! 

Basilisk is an arcadey action game which attempts to emulate classic old games from the coin-op days with a brand new design! The enemy moves around like the game "Snake" eating villagers and getting bigger and bigger while you try to avoid him long enough to gather keys to open locked chests and obtain enough dagger pieces to kill the basilisk and advance to the next level!

• Collect different items to aid you on your quest!
• Randomly generated levels for constant variety!
• Complex Basilisk AI that will confound even the best!
• Race for the high score or to reach the highest and most insane level possible!

This game is our entry for the A game by its cover 2021 jam using the amazing famicase by Philip Summers (@heyphilsummers) and we hope you enjoy it enough to leave a review or comment! This is our first team project here at the Michael G Games video division.
